This pumpkin bowl with curly ponytails makes a great crochet project for the fall. With embroidered faces, it’s also good for Halloween. It can be used to hold small items like wrapped-candies, keys, potpourri, or stitch markers.
This crochet pattern uses basic crochet stitches. It’s good for beginners who are new to three dimensional projects to get a taste of building something up. This pattern PDF includes steps to make two sizes of the bowls as well as steps to embroider three types of faces.

As a reference, with Size 4 Medium yarn and a 3.5 mm crochet hook, the small bowl will be approximately 2’’ tall and 3.5’’ across on the bottom. The large bowl will be approximately 2.5’’ tall and 5’’ across on the bottom.
