The Lunar New Year Lantern Zodiac Animals series currently includes a rabbit, a dragon, a snake, a horse, and a festive lantern basket. These cute zodiac animals peek out of the lantern, ready to brighten up your year ahead. They make great hanging ornaments that bring cheer to your room.

This crochet bundle includes four PDFs:
- Lunar New Year Lantern Dragon
- Lunar New Year Lantern Rabbit
- Lunar New Year Lantern Snake
- Lunar New Year Lantern Horse
The lantern pattern is the same for all animals, and it’s included in each of the PDFs.
The PDFs are written in English, and each includes:
- A list of recommended materials and tools
- A written pattern (in US terms)
- Guiding images
Each PDF has a reference section that introduces some of the crochet techniques used in the corresponding project. The introductions include:
- How to change colors in single crochet
- How to close the top
- How to attach ears to an amigurumi piece
- How to make an invisible single crochet decrease
- How to sew crocheted pieces to the main body
- How to make a four-dc bobble stitch
As a reference, using the recommended materials and tools, the dragon will be approximately 4.00” tall and 1.75” wide. The rabbit will be approximately 5” tall (from the bottom to the top of the ears) and 1.75” wide. The snake will be approximately 3.75” tall and 1.75” wide. The horse will be approximately 4.25” tall and 1.75” wide. The lantern basket is approximately 2.75” in diameter.
