Steps:

  1. Transfer the design from the template to your fabric, using your preferred method. Then, set up your hoop.
  2. Work with 3 strands of red embroidery floss:
    1. Use back stitches to trace the outline of the larger mushroom’s cap.
    2. Cover the directional lines inside the cap.
    3. Use satin stitches to cover the cap, leaving the circles empty. When finished, secure the thread.
  3. Work with 3 strands of yellow floss:
    1. Use back stitches to trace the outline of the smaller mushroom’s cap.
    2. Cover the directional lines inside the cap.
    3. Use satin stitches to cover the cap, leaving the circles empty. When finished, secure the thread.
  4. Work with 3 strands of cream embroidery floss. Use satin stitches to fill the circles in both mushrooms’ caps. When finished, secure the thread.
  5. Work with 6 strands of brown embroidery floss:
    1. Use back stitches to trace the outlines of both mushrooms’ stems.
    2. Use back stitches to trace the texture line inside the stems.
  6. Remove the tracing lines or wash away the patch and leave to dry.
