If you know how to crochet only chain stitches, you can still crochet something—this bow bookmark for example! The project takes 5–10 minutes, and you’ll have a cute accessory to accompany your reading time.
Bow Bookmark Crochet Tutorial
- Use chain stitches to make a long chain that is twice as long as the length of your book’s long side.
- Use chain stitches to make a short chain that is the same length as your book’s long side.
- You can make a longer chain for a larger bow and a shorter chain for a smaller bow.
- Fold the long chain in half. Use a yarn needle to bring both yarn tails through the center of the bead. Tie a knot to prevent the bead from falling off. Trim the yarn tails to a proper length. Place the loop over the book.
- Take the shorter chain. Bring it through the loop we just made. Tie a bow. Adjust the shape. Our crocheted bookmark is finished.
